The Ali Rainback Memorial Cup.

ali-football-do-0021As a fitting memorial to Ali, his brother Simon organised a 5-a-side football tournament and fun day. It was a great day raising awareness and a lot of money for the hospice.

A great time was had by all, and the barn dance organised by Diana Rainback for the evening was a hoot. A big thanks for all the hard work in organising and running such a great day team Rainback!

A big thankyou to everyone who visited the NorthSTAR expedition promo stall at the event. We recieved nothing but supportive comments and promises to spread the word of the expedition. Thanks to everyone who bought a t-shirt, or promised to sign up for a postcard.

 Sadly team Northstar were the whipping boys of the tournament. Well, how many football pitches do you think we’ll encounter on the ice-cap?!
