Today Mustard paid a visit to the Schlossberg Schule in Spiez to help several classes and give advice about their projects which they have to undertake as part of there curriculum. Every individual in the class must plan and execute their projects which could last up to several days. Using a presentation, Mustard gave examples of his experience in the Alps, Iceland, Russia and finally Greenland. Mustard talked about how the plan to cross Greenland in 2007 came to be and the planning and preperation that was involved for the expedition upcoming North Star 2010 expedition.  A generous donation of 400 Sfr.- was made from the school for Ali’s foundation and the expedition.

Get Fit - Get Fat

The great thing about polar travel is the fact that you get to eat loads more food on the run up to your expedition. Because of the cold climate and continuous excercise we will inevitably lose weight, so we need to make sure we are overweight before our departure. This sounds easy of course but we are also training nearly everyday now to make sure we are in shape, so the  portions of food are getting pretty big! The ultimate diet programme!
